Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Oakley Flight Deck Goggles

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
My goggles were pretty done at the end of last season so I decided to replace and upgrade for this year. Always liked the Oakley A-frame but seemed quite small for my rather large head!

I took a bit of a punt on the new Flight Deck. They appeared a good size, and the frameless approach seems pretty much proven and appealing in terms of greater all round vision. Also seemed good value for £120 with a Black Iridium lens.

Happy to say that in the flesh they seem the real deal. Obviously haven't tested on mountain yet but if like me you need a larger fit and wear a helmet they could be a good choice. Lens quality is proven and the field of vision is much, much better than my old Dragons.

I expect the design won't appeal to everyone. They are very "top gun", however if like me you like to get your goose on you'll look stunning on the hill in these wink

Will update once they've been snow tested - not long now..

Ps have also ordered the persimmon spare lens for low light days. Expect in Scotland this will be getting the majority of use!

I have just had a pair of these delivered, with the new Prizm rose lens (I only use goggles when its snowing, so only need flat light lenses). Took a punt without trying them on first!

Very impressed with the fit. I have a large (ish) head, they are extremely comfortable and as you have said they give a great range of vision.

Highly recommended, so far, although I also have yet to use them in anger. Probably won't any time soon either, seem to scare the snow away the last couple of seasons!

Got a pair for Christmas but looking for advice on which helmets they fit under.
Too big for current helmet, so need a new one.
Anybody got any suggestions.
I do prefer a helmet with a small peak on it.
