Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Heading out on Thursday for the weekend. What are conditions like? Looks like a decent dump and not much for the rest of the week?

Had a great long weekend in Sainte Foy. Couple of tips down the Vallon du Clou from the Col de l’Aiguille and the Pointe de la Foglietta (failed trip to the Col d’Argentiere), a couple of descents from the Col de Grenier into the Vallon de Mercuel (skier’s left and right) and a nice run down (NW face?) from the cross on the way up the Pointe de la Foglietta. Also had a day in Les Arc skiing from the Grand Col back to Villaroger and doing a couloir on the N face of the Aiguille Grive.

Really liked the resort, the amount of off-piste/touring available and the general atmosphere. Will be back (to do the N face of the Pointe de la Foglietta, the Col d’Argentiere and a few other bits).

(The other thing that struck me was the friendliness of the Pisteurs. I had a chat to them when we’d just arrived to make sure what I’d gleaned from the weather and avalanche reports of the past couple of weeks combined with my thoughts of what Thursday’s wind would have done and they were really informative, chatting about our plans, where the snow would be good, aspects that were known to be prone etc.)

@Fruity, on piste is pretty good, cover is fine, snow is in Spring condition - hard in the mornings, slushy in the afternoon. Off-piste there is a little fresh snow (and a bit more wind-blown snow!) at altitude, but generally not fantastic. Some nice spring touring to be done!
