Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski bag for 177cm skis

Poster: A snowHead
Hi

I've just purchased some Head Titans in 177cm length. I was thinking about getting a larger padded ski bag, with the possibility of putting clothes etc in as well as the skis.

I've looked at the Dakine fall line bag http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dakine-Fall-Line-Double-190cm/dp/B00ASRMOTU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1417112437&sr=8-1&keywords=dakine+fall+line+bag&tag=amz07b-21

or the SnoKart 2014 2Ski Roller Bag 185cm http://www.edgeandwax.co.uk/742676/products/snokart_2014_2ski_roller_bag_185cm.aspx

The Dakine one comes in 175cm and 190cm lengths. On one review of the 190cm version it said you could actually fit skis 195cm long in it, so I wondered if the 175cm version would in reality be long enough for my 177cm skis or whether i's have to go for the 190cm.

I know a few of you have the Dakine bags, any idea if the 175cm version would fit a 177cm ski, and how it compares to the Snowcart bag

Thanks

I have the Snokart bag (courtesy of Easyjet who trashed my last one and replaced it with this). Pretty good bag, plenty of room for skis + gear, no issues

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

175 DaKine will probably do. I used to get 190 Redeemers into a 185 DaKine Low Roller and they fit comfortably in the 190 Fall Line

I've got the SnoKart 2Ski Roller. It's been on two trips so far and it's excellent. I've taken 2 pairs each time, 170 piste skis and 177 fat off-piste skis, and managed to fit in poles, a bulky down jacket and ski pants. Seems to be very well made and should put up a fair bit of baggage handler abuse. No idea what the DaKine bag is like but I'd recommend the SnoKart one

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks for the replies, I've ordered the Snowkart one, I like the idea of the padded divider inside and it looks good quality material.
