Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

have tried the spectrum's but only for about 1.5 hrs, they felt a bit odd at first after a few runs I got in to them a bit but they were neither great on piste or off so unsure if I like the tech, not sure it has much place on 82 waist skis, would deffo try first if possible

I was upgraded to a pair at Eosb2013. On first trying them they wanted to go there own way sharply. Being rental ski I doubt if they had been aggressively tunedy and they did not hold an edge on 're-frozen snow. I found you had to drive them hard all the time and not relax. This does not fit with the theory as the outside front edges should not hook. I was told by megamum or Fraser that when it got slushy I should put them on wrong footed. I don't know if they were having a giraffe but I don't think it would have made much difference as I was coming back from the Folie douce half cut but managed to get back safely through the swamp. Very Happy

I Race on 157 Amphibio really good ski, up there with the best (and better price). Must be kept very sharp to get the best from them but they develop amazing grip balance and direction change; the best ski I have ever raced on. The ski shape enables a carve from lesser angled ankle and once you are used to them outrageous arcs can be made.

Disadvantage one foot ski left and right so edge wear is a third faster for overall life of the ski.
But if you ski aggressively on race skis and want to improve your carving these are the boys for you.
