@simonx, those look fairly expensive for what they are, for marginally more you could have an all leather glove which will last for years. I've just picked up some of these, and frankly trying them on my main concern is that my hands will overheat.

Worth getting something with a removable liner which you can take out and get really dry overnight, which will help to stay warm. In my experience Snow & Rock is normally not the cheapest place to buy Hestra products, so worth shopping around unless you have a store locally and need to try them on etc.

I have a pair of the Kaj and sverre 3 finger he's teas and love them, the inner liner does a great job of regulating heat and have never had a problem with overheating. worth every penny!

looking around for Hestra's 3-finger "K&S" or "Leather Army Wool" equivalent. Struggling to find them, but on a general point why would leather be better than Gore-Tex like the mitts in the original post?

@simonx, personally I find it lasts better, feels better, but there really isn't much between them. The leather maybe very marginally less waterproof and very marginally more insulated.
