Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Look out for any footwear with soft, flexible soles and fine hatching because they'll help grip the snow in the same way as a winter tyre does. My favourite shoes for clearing snow during the winter months have a label inside reading 'Clarks Unstructured' but I've no idea if their sole patterns are all like it.

@mistral_ski, can't recommend any boots - but you'd probably get a better response to this in the "equipment" thread.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

The OP probably thinks that as these boots are going to be worn for Apres Ski, this is the right place to ask
There are quite a few boots on Sports Pursuit at the minute.

I have a pair of Sorel boots, brilliant.

I'd like some Sorel boots but I have awkward feet and they don't fit me. I've got some which fit OK but not as pretty as the ones Iski linked to. I couldn't buy anything like that online - I'd be forever sending things back.

I have Sorel boots too - love them! In fact I get really upset when it's the end of the winter and I can't wear them any more
But they're going back on today, yay! Highly recommended boots.

I have some merrell boots which are waterproof and have been fantastic, plus very warm

I've just acquired a second pair of these because they have such good grip on ice. And they're cheap as chips. But not so good for snow clearing as Sorels would be... and they don't do girls ones.

Now going to have a look at your suggestions. Last year I jsut bought cheap ones from sports direct, and the insoles went flat, and it was like walking on a grill the whole time.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

You know it makes sense.

I recommend my North Face Chilkat 2 snow boots which I see are made for women too. Very comfy and warm plus decent grip underfoot.
