Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mont Blanc Tunnel costs

I am going to be passing through the Mont Blanc tunnel numerous times this season. I propose to buy a 10 Journey ticket to save costs.

My first trip will be in a van, Class 2 vehicle, but subsequent trips will be in a car, Class 1 vehicle'

My question is; Can I buy a Class 2 ticket at €176.20 (for a van) & then use this ticket for a Class 1 vehicle (car) ? The Class 1 ticket is cheaper so I don't see a problem?

@stewart woodward, apart from the fact you're dealing with a Franco-Italian company, so normal rule of logic doesn't apply, class2 includes car with trailer, so I would have thought they'd happily accept same car without trailer "It was nicked, innit?"

Phone them? Get answer in writing?

Yes you can use a class 2 for a class one, or at least you could last time I tried. Don't thijnk they have changed the rules on that one, but I'll ask one of the tolbooth operators later today.
