Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Val Claret, Le Lac & Le Lavachet are 3 separate areas that make up the main resort of Tignes. They are all interconnected by a free bus service so you should have no problems travelling between them.

There are lifts in Val Claret - you won't need to travel to them if you stay there.

You can easily ski back to Val Claret without worrying about being stranded by lifts closing (unless you're still in Val at 5pm, but even then there's a bus back).

fantastic resort, no problem getting around the village, free bus.

Just a word of warning if you go over to VDI make sure you have time to get back [we have run close with this] alternative expensive taxi back rolling eyes

Tignes is my favourite place in the World! As others say dont leave it too late to get back from Val D'Isere but bus is easy to get around Tignes and there are a lot of connecting lifts so I recommend it!

Even from the extremes of the Espace Killy you can get back to Val Claret in about an hour - 1 hr 15, assuming a competent red run skier. If you get beguiled by the bright lights of VDI the last bus (about €Cool is at about 1730 - otherwise €45 in a taxi. The buses run round the Tignes resorts all night (with the exception of Breviere which is the cheaper outpost but very pretty with its own fan base)
