Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Worst Summer weather for a while in the French Alps ?

We've had lovely weather over the weekend, although it has been quite breezy today. Off to Barolo for a couple of days tomorrow.

Well after the one of the wettest summers on record think hope it's not going to be ironically the reverse for the winter rolling eyes

I was chatting to the guy who has opened up the mini golf and we've now had more consistent sunny days than we had in the summer and I have nigh on 30 degrees on our patio today in the direct sunlight!

@Weathercam, as discussed elsewhere, you only have 28.9 degrees inside the casing of your weather station sensor. Ambient will feel warmer than it actually is as your clothes and skin absorb the direct radiation. Your sensor needs to be out of the sun and away from any other heat sources for a reason...

@under a new name, that's why I said it was in the "direct sunlight" usually the sensor lives under the eaves in the shade - that little thermometer next to it is the one I used for snow analysis when digging pits as it comes out of the red casing and looks much like the type of thermometer you use when cooking.

Feels like summer here I Salt Lake City too. Not just Europe that's having a bad season start...

Not only in French Alps. Worst summer on record in Switzerland too. Fingers crossed nature won't "compensate" us for wet summer with dry winter.
