Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Skiing expedition to Muzstagh-ata (7546m, Western China, non-technical)

Good day!

We´re gathering a group for a long-time-desired expedition to Muzstagh-ata (7546 m, Western China, Xinjiang province).
We are looking for few folks to join us. Classically we go down skiing and it's a kinda highlight to ski down the 7546m giant.

Muztagh-ata is non-technical climb but due to its elevation is by no means easy.

We combined the trip with the help of local registered agencies, so will go up with a guide, and will make a one-week trip around Kyrgyzstan after ascent.

Start and finish in Bishkek, the Kyrgyz capital. One month long in overall.

After ascent to the peak we go back leisurely through Kyrgaystan: Tash Rabat, Issyk-Kul, Karakol, Ala Archa.
I worked in Kyrgyzstan myself and, believe me, you will never forget how beautiful this country is.

Not a summit to be underestimated because of the altitude but the skiing was easy; although the snow was crusty. Marc wore climbing boots for skiing which was not fun apparently with a full expedition rucksack; he was the assistant guide. The clients were physically very strong, one a national triathlon champ and they found it hard. They wore ski boots and one suffered frostbite and had amputations because of it (toes or part of foot). Today's ski boots may be better in that respect although not with the traditional snowheads race fit.
