Poster: A snowHead
|
Afternoon all,
I’m looking at booking a long weekend in mid-December to Tignes or Val d’Isere. Does anyone have any recommendations for accommodation that can be booked for three or four nights? Most of the places I’ve found book by the week. I’m trying to keep costs down so budget options would be gratefully received. I’m not fussy whether it’s a hotel, apartment or chalet.
Thanks in advance

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

It's also often worth ringing them, some of the booking systems aren't flexible enough to deal with anything other than week long stays.

I once did a mid-December long weekend trip to Tignes, staying at The Alpaka - great place, 150m from the main lifts in Le Lac.

Hotel Le Vanoise in Tignes Val Claret - http://www.hotelvanoise.com/ . Doesn't look too much from the outside, but nice inside. The owners are nice and they do not do TOs, so very flexible. It is also right by Les Tufs lift so ski in/out.
