Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Looking for somewhere in France/Italy for Mon-Fri next week

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Well I guess the title says it all. I'm looking for some resort that has a good lot of snow within a few hours drive of Nice for all next week. Tignes/Val d seem to have a poor covering so they are out. Chamonix has potential but I'm not sure if much is open there. I don;t think much is going on in the Dolomites either.

What about Alpe d'Huez/LDA/Serre Chevaluer. I have never been to Alpe d'Huez but the webcam is looking good at the moment. Anyone there at the moment? What's it like? Is much of the mountain open?

I really have no preference at the moment, all I want is someplace with enough variety for a few days and a nice covering of snow. If things get really bad I can always move mid week

Thanks in advance

Diarmuid,

Easiski has been raving about a dump in LDA a few days ago.... which is right in between ADH and Serre D in travelling terms...!!!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Diarmuid, We've got excellent snow, and although not all 220Kms are open yet, there's a good bit that is (about 3/4 I should think). Some of the pistes do still have some rocks/stones around, but mostly they're the ones we're ski-ing on that we shouldn't (closed)! The face is good all over in powder, and it looks as if it's going to snow some more. Good cheap hotel at Les Lutins (where all the Snowheads stayed during Mondial) or lots of choice of apartments. Posher hotels if desired. PaulMck is here next week too and another Snowhead. We could have a "mini-bash". snowHead snowHead New photos on snow reports today.
