Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Broken Dynafit base plate

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Although our latest trip was an overall success I did have some equipment issues. Not only did I lose the handle to my nice BCA shovel but I also managed to break the base plate on the toe piece of one of my Dynafit Comfort bindings. We were skinning up some deep icy tracks and I wasn't paying attention. The sun was just melting the surface when one ski slipped and I crashed down on one knee. The toes were locked down and the plastic couldn't take the strain. Surprisingly, I managed to find all the bits but I doubt it will glue back together with sufficient strength.

I've managed to locate some replacements for €3 each but the postage is €20 from France.

Anyone got any Dynafit 48506 or, preferably, the stronger 48529 base plates lying around?

Would you like me to ask my local shop and send you one if available?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

That's very kind of you. Let's see if there is a simpler solution before putting you to the trouble.
