Just booked myself onto a BASI L1 course at Hemel in the summer.
Is it worth doing some of their Instructor Training Sessions prior to starting the course?

In a word, yes. You'll be asked to ski differently to how you're used to, both to improve your own performance and to demonstrate things clearly to those you're teaching, and getting a bit of practice of this in advance will mean you're not on a steep learning curve during the 5 days of the course.

I'd say Yes
I see you ticked quite a few boxes this season in another thread, so Id imagine your skiing is at quite a high level.
However unless you've been doing quite a lot of snow plough demos to beginners in a fridge, then I'd opt for some instructor prep type training. As well as getting the feel for skiing in a fridge.

it is customary when passing BASI exams to get stupidly drunk. Anything less is letting the side down!
