Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

High-feeling like a proper off piste ski dude after hiking to the top of the Maroi Kopf in St Anton and skiing down.
Lows-doing constant battle with the Marker Griffon bindings on my skis if I fell and they came off. Drove me nuts! Felt a total idiot.
High-the Underground bar every day in St Anton and encounters with the awesome and scary Joan....

High-discovering Grimentz and Zinal and being on the inaugural public cable car linking the 2.

Higher still....Japan, and skiing the trees in Hakuba Cortina....

Skiing the trees in Cortina... Ditto
Low-not being able to transfer to Myoko for the last couple of days in Japan because of the epic snowstorm that swept the country.

Doing the Laub in Engelberg..on my new Liberty Envy skis and realising why I had bought them...

...did I mention skiing the trees in Cortina?

Low....having to miss my last week of skiing (it being the prize winning ski holiday to Verbier) as a result of an extended work commitment..

High-.....skiing the trees in Cortina.

That's a pretty impressive season - nice work!

My lows were that although I managed three trips to the Alps, I only had one day that could be classified a 'powder day'. Otherwise my timing was always off by a few days.

It was great to see my kids getting to grips with skiing though - their second trip and as long as we can afford it, we'll keep doing this holiday.

Hoping to get a day or two in summer, so maybe my season's not over yet!

Unless you knew of some stash the powder came and went very quickly this season due to a combination of wind and warm temperatures. Some days the powder would melt by the early afternoon and have a crust the next day. It was a pain. Also poor weather a lot of weekends which didn't please the weekend warriors. I kept telling people, you've got to take a few days off this year and grab the pow when you can.
