Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Rossignol Unique 8; advice

Hi all. I want to buy my wife some skis, and these have been suggested. She is a good intermediate skier, happy on any red and good blacks. I think she has great technique - much better than me.

She is concerned however that these skis may be too advanced for her, too stiff. So she balked at the final hurdle!

I know that it is a difficult question to answer, as it is down to how they feel on the piste, but has anyone any first hand experience of these planks - preferably an intermediate going up in skis. She skied with Dynastars twice this season, which apparently are beginner/intermediate. The Unique 8 seems to be suggested as Intermediate/Advanced - although they may be expert/advanced. They are a good price on t' web at the moment.

Any advice about these skis gratefully received!
