Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Paris to Cervinia March 16th

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
HI Folks,

Looks like I'll be heading from Paris to Cervinia on Sunday March 16th. I was wondering what is the best way to get there from Paris?

& by any chance is someone driving there that day willing to do a car share??

Thanks,
Horgand

FYI I ended up trying to get a scheduled train from Paris (Gare De Lyon) to Cervinia on that Sunday, only to be told at the station the train was full. After endless minutes,of the ticket sales guy trying to figure out which leg of this ~7hr train journey was the full leg, exasporated I finally bought a ticket for Paris Zurich. I got off in Basel, got a bus out to the airport and hired a car. I finally arrived in Cervinia at 12.30am, 10+hours after leaving Paris. Also it was horrendously expensive i.e. Tgv €140, Car hire 6 days €400, tolls €100, diesel €100, & a fine going thru MB tunnel on way home €90, for good measure!! Happy So €830 for Paris-Cervinia-Geneva transport, argh!

If I had to do it again I would fly Paris -Turin and get a shuttle from there to Cervinia for ~ €70. Doing this would have probably saved me ~€400. Well I won't do that again.....
