Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Hire Tignes - Is it cheaper in resort or online

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I am off to Tignes 2100 in April and wondering about the ski hire. Normally I take my own equipment but have decided to rent this time.
Online there seem to be loads of 50% off offers but is it really any cheaper than resort. I would personally rather wait so I can look at skis before renting but am nervous they may all be at full price. Also nervous it may be a long way to hire shop if I book in advance.
Any advice?

sazmo, in my local ski shop, where I've done rentals through Skimium, it's definitely cheaper online. If you rent top quality skis you should be able to see what they've got - you don't rent a particular pair, normally.

sazmo, I always book in advance (as first morning is hassle enough with two kids to get ready and ski school calling) - some of the shops show resort maps on their webpages so you can see where they are located. However, if you know where you are staying you could tell us and someone might be able to give you a recommendation?

sazmo, you might consider changing your thread title to give folks a clue what you want to know and which resort... e.g. "Ski Hire Tignes Le Lac - Recommendations"
