Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

We are off to Les Deus Alps in a couple of weeks and would like to book a helicopter to take us over to Alpe d'Huez. Who are we best off booking with? Is it good?

Hi we booked it in resort you go to the main ticket office and I there is an office just across the way where you book, you have to also consider it's the air ambulance and flights may be interrupted, it's an amazing exprerince. Sorry for bring vague on the exact location.

k1orange, this is from another posting by Lizzard, "The trip costs 65€ per person (adult or child), bookings at the caisse pietons on your left just inside the main ticket office. That price assumes a full flight, so Flo in the ticket office will juggle bookings to make sure each one goes with a full complement of passengers. Go in and ask about it at the beginning of the week rather than leaving it until the day before you'd like to go."

We did the trip from AdH a few years ago. The flight is only about 4 mins, but for 65 euros well worth it IMO.

We did it last year from LDA > ADH. Well worth it, great views and an excellent day out. In fact , they had to nip off for 20 minutes to go and deal with an injury somewhere, but didn't spoil things ( more felt sorry for the injured person ). Say well in advance and try and bagsy the front seat, you can get much better film/pics from there.
