Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Adjusting older marker bindings to fit boots

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I've got an old pair of skis with Marker M25v bindings that I would like to adjust to fit my Daughter's boots. The length adjustment screw on the heel binding doesn't move far enough back to fit her boots. I know that these are old bindings (and skis) but I'm hoping that someone can tell me how to adjust these? I can't figure out how to move the toe piece forward, if it does? If there is no adjustment, how do I remove and re-mount the bindings?
Thanks for any help.

Welcome to snowHeads.

Adjusting those is straightforward however those bindings are so old they haven't been on the manufacturers Indemnified List for ages due to age/temp/UV degradation etc. The lndemnified List is NOT a manufacturers marketing scam to get you to buy new bindings but is a genuine list of bindings that are still currently fit for purpose providing that they have been mounted/adjusted correctly. Bindings (usually) remain on the list for many years so a binding that is not on the list should NOT be used. Do your daughter a favour & bin 'em & get her some decent modern bindings. And if they're on old straight skis get her some modern carvers as well.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks. I was told that they weren't that old. Guess that I need to research used equipment more before purchasing. Live and learn.
