Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Does anyone know of a good place to stay in Aviemore? We want something in the 30-45 price range and don't want to have to tolerate drunkenness or dirt.

I've stayed at The Ravenscraig before now and it was fine, several other snowheads have also used it and given positive feedback. I've also used the MacDonald and that was fine if a little less "personal"

We stayed at the 'International Starters' hostel/hotel in Aviemore

Few minutes easy walk from train station

Was fine. Very clean. Reasonably priced.

Restaurant a bit bizzare - basically consisting of 'starters' from around the world

A second vote for Starters. Very comfortable & a decent breakfast. It's a very smart small hotel - def not a hostel.

Or Vermont House B&B - clean, warm & a hospitable landlady too. We've stayed there four or five times. £60/dbl/B&B if I recall correctly. Decent location - far end of main st (just past Starters) but easy walking distance to food and drink.

I always stay in the Hilton Coylunbridge if I'm up that way. It's not the best Hilton, but there are usually some pretty good deals on, and it's slightly closer to the ski area.

Stayed at the high range motel last year. Good room and a great shower for £40/twin on laterooms. Good location, on the roundabout to the skiing and right opposite a great pub (the old bridge) which has a hostel attached.

Old Bridge Inn has great food. Stayed at the High Range Lodges a few years ago. Basic self-catering, but OK. prefer the MacDonald Highland though
