Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Thomas Cook Ski Carriage

Its all open to interpretation and different carriers and TOs go to different lengths to extract the extra ski carriage fee from you.

Its down to the level of risk you're happy with. While none of our clients has said they got stopped putting 2x sets through when paying for just one, when we ask the TOs and carriers for a definitive answer they all say its not allowed.

Some have now come up with a price for a double bag, that's a bit less than 2x single bags.
I think they don't want to be in conflict with the holiday makers, so try to give a way to save a few quid and remain honest.

The worse predicament is when you don't book carriage when you're book the holiday, and call back later to find the hold has no carriage space left.
The biggest problem I've seen is where a TO is using Flybe, as the seem to have planes with much smaller hold than normal - they always seem to run out of ski/board carriage space before the last seats are booked.
(its really disappointing when someone books a holiday, then gets skis for xmas, then can't add them on the plane)

Wish they would go back to the old days when ski carriage was free... but I guess it was easy for them to do that when only 2 people on the plane had their own skis...
