Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

SnowStag: Advice

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi guys

Looking for some fairly specific advise.

Would like to go somewhere (in Europe) for a stag do that meets the following criteria:

#1 that will have decent (as can be) snow in late March
#2 That will have a nice bit of après-ski and/or nightlife
#3 ideally not a massive transfer - though guess this May be unavoidable

I'm sure you get the rough idea on what it is we want/need ...

Any and all suggestions or help would be massively appreciated.

Thanks guys

Dan

Verbier and Chamonix would fit most of those criteria. Ischgl would fit some though the transfer would be a bit long. Obertauern may suit and Mayrhofen has a lot of fans.

3- 4hr transfers, pretty massive in my book wink

I'd vote for Sauze d'Oulx [b]. Well catered for nightlife (bars, restaurants, lap dancing). Late march may not see you ski back to the town but there'll still be snow around. 1hr from Turin and not too expensive.

To what extent is cost an issue? Late march is a bit of a gamble in terms of snow cover in all but the highest resorts but if you play the odds, almost all resorts should be fine. If cost is a big factor then Andorra is well worth considering. If cost is less of a concern then a stag do in Meribel would be brilliant.

St Anton is the ultimate party town in the mountains. And a good snow record. Transfer is usually under 2 hours. Boxes ticked!

Sauze D'oulx. If you can fly into Turin it's a one hour transfer and it's got some very varied Toofy Grin nightlife!!

vote for ST ANTON too. Was there 2 weeks ago for a week long stag do! Absolutely mental! Amazing skiing, snow sure, the best Apres in the alps at the Mooserwert and the Krazy Kangaruh, and the bars and clubs in town are buzzing too, everyone up for a party. Had a great time, will never forget skiing down from teh KK in the dark and hammered!
Transfers short too, 1.5 hours to Freidrichshafen, 1.2 hours to Innsbruck, 2 hours to Munich.

But only 3 runs - or at least that's how it felt when we went Smile Pretty though, and certainly lively in the capital.

Have you looked at pushing back into April and coming to snowbombing? Alternatively there is altitude festival 18-22 match which is a reasonably busy week in Mayrhofen. Fly into innsbruck, 1.5 hrs on the train. Easy!
