Poster: A snowHead

Any one have any experience of them.
Im currently wearing Lange Banshee Pro circa 2000 with Lange XR9 race liners circa 1996 in a 25.5 mondo size. The liners are pretty shot, and the boots a bit tight. They where great when I wore them every day working at a dry slope (stopped in 1997). For one week a year they are murder.
I like the idea of a custom fit like the Fischer, but I have strange feet, high insteps, narrow ankles and shortened tendons, and a small size 7.

Yes, had them made in 97 in the States. The boot tech said I had the worst achillies he had ever seen, even called over the shop manager to have a look

Ok - the standard answer is... go and have a session with a great bootfitter and they'll sort you out with what's best for your feet and ability etc... might be Fischers, might not be. Might need new beds, maybe not...
Best of luck though

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I DO.
Prob a bit late, but : I had to buy new boots, after my old 90's salomon race boots BROKE. GUTTED
I have the most awkward shaped feet, really wide at the front, narrow heels, massive calves....
Anyway, bit the bullet, bought a pair of fischer vac fit v10's . they were in budget, and the shop were amazing. They even vac fitted them before i committed to buying them
They were literally the ONLY pair that felt remotely comfortable without a fitting. The ONLY thing i would say is that the padding on the chin area of the tongue isn't up to much, think in time i'll modify it to include some more padding either side to stop the pressure in the centre !

Ive just brought a pair also. The RC4 130. Despite trying on some Salpmon X Max 120 at Ellis Brighams at Castleford and not buying as they werent in the sale. Emailed Snow and Rock, Gateshead about the same boot with no reply. So decided to wait unt I got to Kitzbuhel. Looking for a 25.5/26 in a mans petformance boot was difficult. After trying on various boots with no luck. Went into the last shop and tryed the Fischer. More than my budget but well worth it a few tweeks and they are very comfortable.
