Wow some people just don't appreciate serious skill!

KristinaV, Many of us appreciate the skill, I do, and if he was only reckless with his own safety, then no problem. But he isn't, he makes the choice for others. Like I said, great skier but on this film at least, complete knob.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Only it's not his private office, if it was, fair enough.

Kel, hmmm, ok, it's an interesting moment. I think I can forgive your 22s moment, but where was that bloke going anyway? Trundling obwards, oblivious that the piste was about to disappear?
Highly paid actor, surely!

Serriadh, we've covered that and that was crude ( but IMO not very crude and justified) what I am asking is where have I been rude. But as it was under a new name, who called me this, I would be obliged if under a new name, would explain.

Kel, i think Serriadh's got it. Caliing anyone a prick, particularly with respect to a situation where you are not in full possesion of the facts, is rude in my book.

No you called me crude and rude, explain. I explained that maybe in your opinion I may have been crude ( but not in mine) but where have I been rude. Whereas you think it is ok to call me and others crude and rude because their opinion is different to yours.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

So gracious of you to forgive me.
"Where was that bloke going anyway?"
You mean the bloke who is the downhill skier.
You mean the kind of bloke who has paid €250 for a weeks lift pass.
You mean the kind of bloke if he's like me puts around €100 a day over the tills in bars and mountain huts.
You mean the kind of bloke without whom ski resorts as we know them would not exist, for likes of the Uber talented Thovex to cause havoc in.
At the expense of you thinking me rude, you really do need a reality check.

foxtrotzulu, closing speeds not "much" higher, and maybe not higher at all.
And alex99 why just this very morning my chum, sliding slowly and in perfect control (but the uphill rider) nearly collided with the skier just in front as she transitioned from a dead straight snowplough into a sharp right turn, just in front of him. He just avoided her, but only just.
jimmer, +1 |
Your chum was in perfect control, yet nearly collided with a skier in a dead straight snowplough. There might have been a clue there for your chum that anyone skiing in a dead straight snowplough, might just decide to turn suddenly.
If he only just avoided her#, then your chum clearly was not in perfect control, your chum should have been giving the beginner a wider birth.
#her being someone who has paid for a lift pass and has every right to ski in a dead straight snowplough then turn without giving notice to the uphill rider. If indeed that is clearly the only thing they are capable of doing.
