Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ellmau Apres

Poster: A snowHead
I have just booked a holiday for 5 us staying in the Alpenhof in Ellmau on 25th Feb. We are a mixture of intermediate skiers and boarders and heard the resort is fantastic for both. Our first priority is the slopes but I have heard little on the Apres in the Ellmau resort. We are all mid/late twenties and were intested if the nightlife is any good for a party like ours and what bars/clubs would be recommended?

simwit, Ellmau isn't known for its nightlife to be honest. The Ellmauer Alm, at the foot of the nursery slopes, is where most people head to when the lifts close. The Memory Bar, in the centre, also fills up then. For later in the evening, there's Pub 66 and the Mexican (next to each other in the village) which can be quite good fun, and also a nightclub (called Otzi's I think, although I haven't been).

That's pretty much it, I think. If you get really bored you could always catch a cab to Soll...

Sounds good to me. I don't want to go too wild as I want to enjoy the boarding. Maybe one night in Soll may be a good shout...

simwit, Soll is well worth a visit for an evening out - go to the legendary Whiskey Muhle!

Probably going to Ellmau in mid-March if the snow's good. Not sure whether to book on half-board or just B&B. Anyone got any suggestions about good restaurants in the village to eat in, or is it hotels only for food?

Plenty of restaurants dotted around. Go B&B, more choice of venue and more variety of food available at good prices of an evening.
