advice needed please. I'm off to Santa Christina next week and will be skiing a lot.
What are the best huts, restaurants and bars in the area?

Pedantica, yes.
(edit: well kind of. I think we were in the restaurant on the street level, and the Matthiaskeller is 1 floor below with a big terrace, and both bits are recommended)

sean1967, there is meant to be a good one on the Col Raiser / Seceda area above S Christina - I have not been there but will try to dig out the name if I get a chance.
On the way up there, when you get out of the gondola (after the underground funicular) is my fav spot to stop for cake - they have a good selection and a lovely outdoor terrace.
The best goulash soup so far seems to be have been found in the small modern hut at the very bottom of Cir (top is at passo sella, top of Dantercepies gondola).

Up on Seceda area there;s the Pizzeria on the left as you go up the chair (slightly along a track) that's very popular.
