Poster: A snowHead

Just idle pondering, as this is a little while off for us yet, but eldest son will probably have done this by midway through next season. He will be seven years old by then. We enjoy skiing with him very much, and I was wondering what there is for kids to go on to next, and what people have generally encouraged their kids to do after this?

LOL! Well yes....
We spend the afternoon skiing with him, but we would like him to do something 'improving' in the morning, plus it's nice for him to spend some time with kids his own age. I just wondered what other people's kids got up to in terms of lessons at that stage....

Racing or park, often followed by freeride.

I have two 9 and 7, and two more 21 and 27, so my little ones like to challenge the older two, and their parents,. They don't want to do any more improving for now. They will when they ski with their Parents alone though because we like to just do our own thing in the morning.

ESF Arrows.
My son completed gold about two years ago. He has now achieved two race arrow badges. He is now on bronze.
But don't worry the lessons arent entirely focused around racing. They do a test at the end of the week. How close they are to time of the esf skier who first rides the course decides what medal they get.

Exactly, what ESF call Competition. Our daughter has never looked back - the instructors ( she did 3 weeks over 3 years ) are great and she did serious off piste as well as slalom sorry on piste. Worth every € in our ( and her ) view . She had great fun and learnt loads of on and off piste technique.
