Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hotel Piolets VS Hotel Piolets Park & Spa - Soldeu

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi Everyone,
Just looking to get ideas or any reviews on the two above hotels... seems there are two Hotel piolets park and spa on tripadvisor so have no idea of knowing which reviews are for which hotel and some are good and some are bad?! No reviews for just Hotel Piolets.

Has anyone stayed at either / or / both hotels and have any thoughts?

I can see Park& spa is more expensive by a £150 or so for two.... is further from the gondola but still only 400m apparently with a free shuttle bus where by the other is 50m right on the slopes....

Any help or info would be appreciated Smile

Hi , we stayed at the hotel piolets a few years ago, it is the nearer of the two to the gondola, not on the piste as you have a walk up the hill to the gondola station inside the hotel sport village. The slopes are across a bit of a ravine which has a bridge to ski back over at the bottom. The park and spa is a newer hotel further down the hill, not a walk i would fancy in ski boots !, its a bit of a hike and quite steep. As i remember the piolets is directly acroos from a strip of bars and rooms on the road side can be a bit noisy. Last time we stayed we booked in the himalai soldeu ( above the bars so ask for a high floor if you book there ) which is over the road from the piolets, personaly i thought it better than the piolets, but there was a couple of years in between the trips so things may have changed. Food wise i would book b & b if poss as there are plenty of places to eat that are better than the hotels.. slim jims did the best breakfast i've ever had !!
