Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

All these and Ski2 in Champoluc who I unaccountably forgot. Lots of positive reports here about the Monterosa area and some friends go there every winter. Think it is best for skiers competent on easy reds or better. More reports on family and beginner friendly resorts/companies wanted to help me decide where to book next year!

Hi Lowcroft,

We use snow little (http://www.snowlittle.co.uk/) for our in-chalet childcare and have had really good reports from guests. They cover the whole of the Paradiski, Espace Killy, Ste Foy, etc so loads of areas to choose from.

Some nannies are qualified, others are "experienced" but not specifically nannies (eg teachers working a season) so ask for someone with 3 month old experience.

And, small tip - bring formula milk with you if you use it - french and english brands "taste" different and lots of babies wont drink it.

We have used Esprit, and can highly recommend them but I don't think they take baby's as young as 3months?

Yep just checked, and Esprit start from 4months. From memory I couldn't find any nurseries that took babies less than 4months and a lot were 6months

Lowcroft, I seem to remember when son#1 arrived mid December and I was gagging to get away that season, we couldn't find anything for less than 4 months old (Esprit as NickyJ said). We were away the opening week of the following season Smile - with Esprit, who baked him his 1st birthday cake!

We have used Nannies in La Tania and Meribel Village who came into chalet to look after kids. Will try and dig out names. Also used some nannies in Plan Peisey when we had quite a few small people to look after. Sorry, know none of this is any use without names.

Plan Peisey one was booked with Ski Beat, we stayed in Chalet Alpaca. No complaints about the nanies, took kids out and about as well as entertaining in chalet.

Still working on names for the others!
