Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A snowHead
Hi folks, we're off to cervinia next week. I've been before, but after browsing the website, I saw a picture of somewhere I don't recognise that I want to visit
http://www.cervinia.it/pages/BOLLETTINO_NEVE_i_en/461
Does anybody know where this is in the cover picture ????
Cheers
Neil

One of Cervinia's many great 'poling' areas, that's Cime Bianche where you come back up from the Valtournenche side.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks very much. Take it that's a restaurant on the right???

It is indeed -- and the toilets stink... (or they used too....) !
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I was there last year Neil, and the restaurant was not too bad at all. Quite large, but decent. The toilets were fine. Perhaps they improved them.
If you come from the Cervinia side, it is at the top (or start) of piste number 37.

The restaurant is indeed good - a big canteen-like self-service place with traditional Italian food (stews, polenta, pasta etc) at a reasonable price. The Ladies' toilet is very basic and I've never found it very clean but, in March last year, it was disgusting and I had to hare off at speed to find another restaurant and toilet! I've never noticed the place from the angle in the link above but it looks spectacular. It is one of our regular lunch/coffee stops but not when I need to go to the loo
