When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Great! Looking forward to the snow updates. First trip out at start of Jan, so hopefully plenty of snow by then. You don't have any updates on infrastructure improvements do you? Still no snow making on Prarion or new lift from Siviez to PdF?

I haven't heard anything about improved infrastructure.

My understanding was the trees around Prarion were protected an so installing snow making would be impossible.

Snow Report Verbier/Nendaz/Veysonnaz/La Tzoumaz, 1st. Feb 2014

Rather than start a new thread, I've appended to this one. I'm in La Tzoumaz, Quatre Valées this week. Snow cover is (in a good way) average. Temperatures this week have been below 0ºC all day at 1500m so the piste is nice and consistent and enjoyable to ski. Just a few spots wearing thin. Snowed in Veysonnaz yesterday and across the area this afternoon, with some more forecast in the morning. Slightly warmer today with a high of 2ºC on the balcony at 1500m in La Tzoumaz and 4ºC in Verbier, but sub-zero higher up. The forecast is for lower temperatures tomorrow. Today was windy at altitude so Col de Gentianes was shut - Tortin or La Chaux Jumbo lists were not running. But fine lower down and cloud but bright conditions until the snow started around 15:00.

Sunday 2nd Feb 2014 10:30 - Been snowing for the last 18 hours so this is a welcome top-up. Temp at 1500 is 0.1ºC this morning. Something of a white-out currently ...
