does anyone know if there's some sort of cheap bus to tignes , albertville, moutiers, bourg?
a mate of mine is coming out and we are trying to work out what the best low cost option, i could pick him up en route as i will be going from samoens to tignes so could meet him in albertville for instance....

Yes - 'fraid not. There are buses, as above - but not cheap buses.

Cheapest option to Bourg / Albertville etc. for one person is using the train from Geneva.

It does bug me that it can cost more to get from Geneva to the resort than from the UK to Geneva.

dogwatch, It's 28.5 euros from Geneva to Moutiers on a normal fare, I suppose it depends on your priorities and the time of flights. There is usually one change at Chambery and it is easy to get to the main train station in Geneva from the airport (with a free ticket you can obtain from the airport).
