Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I don't really have strong feelings about it. However I can understand people's opposition to individual users' content being tagged with the message - as feef says, it gives the impression of "hijacking" other users' content.

But WHY does Admin "Strongly recommend" that we don't use SkiSet. I would like to know the details and the resort and the shop name, so that I can make up my own mind.

Might be worth incorporating some of that explanation into the Ski Set redirect page, it would make it look a bit more justified at least.

Don't wee wee off the editor of a blog or whatever if you don't want retaliatory actions. Most moans get a fair chance to prove themsleves and most whinge thread usually end up self moderating in terms of balance. So why does the individual who runs this site not get the same expression? Why is an editorial decision to highlight bad service any different to a decision to take the ad $$$$$ on something else, in a way it's refreshing given the general sycophancy of most "hobby" media that someone is willing to take a position with a potentional commercial partner that ensures ad $$$$ won't be coming their way.
