Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Inghams / Jet2 Manchester to Lapland - hand luggage allowance

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Can anyone clarify the hand luggage allowance on this route? According to Inghams, the hand luggage allowance is 6kg and the maximum dimensions are 46cm x 30cm x 23cm. However, according to Jet2 (the airline operating the flight) it's 10kg and max dimensions 56cm x 45cm x 25cm. So, which is correct? It's more the dimensions I'm concerned about! Inghams only seem to have these details for Jet2's Lapland flight, on all their other routes it's as per Jet2's website.

Thanks.

It's a charter flight so different riles can apply, never had my hand luggage size checked with esprit (part of the same group) but only ever flown with Flybe and not jet2. Easiest way is to find out is ring up jet2 and ask them.

Probably the best plan. I was going to do that but hoping someone on here might have flown the same route with them. I don't even think I have a bag that small Shocked

Flew Jet 2 as a charter flight via Crystal last weeks, rules are as per Crystal, ie 20kg hold luggage, not 22kg as per Jet2 scheduled rules, so I would suggest it will be in accordance with Inghams rules uf a charter flught

What a joke. I phoned Jet2 who said it's 56x45x25. I looked again at my eticket and throughout the document they quote THREE different baggage sizes, one of which matches Jet2. So I phoned Inghams and they said it's Jet2 that told them the smaller size as it's a smaller aircraft that they use than to places like Geneva. What a load of rubbish, the fly B737's and B757's so if that was true why isn't that stated on their website?! I'll go with what Jet2 said and be prepared to argue a lot at check-in if required (armed with printed info from website!).
