Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'm 45 minutes from Glenshee and ski there from time to time, why do you ask?

Yes and no

and I'm wishing I'd skiied there on Sunday rather than the lecht as the photos on Winterhighland suggest that the overhead conditions were much better at Glenshee.

JaneC, Braemar youth hostel is closed til 13 Dec or thereabouts. If you're coming from the south, Stirling hostel looks a good bet, and is 2 hrs from Glenshee. I'm going up tonight for a ski at Glenshee tomorrow, followed by a conference in Carlisle on wed. It's rude not to with conditions as they are and deserted slopes. Speak to your bosses everyone - drop everything and get up to the highlands! Its simply brilliant to ski Scotland when the snow's good. Very Happy Very Happy

JaneC, yes tons of times and yes, I stayed there B&B one weekend last Feb with the family. They gave us one of their log cabins, it was quite nice but bizarrely had a 50p meter for the leccy which I thought was a bit much given we were paying £100 for the night !

paulmck, I've booked a day off tomorrow as well. Can't decide between Glenshee and Cairngorm Puzzled
