Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ride SX bindings back wont lock

 Poster: A snowHead

Hey,
I just bought a new board and the Ride SX bindings, but I cant get the back to lock and hold. Even if you could adjust it lower the lip doesnt seem like it would hold it. Anyone have any ideas what I am doing wrong?

I'm pretty sure that the back isn't supossed to 'lock' in place...the adjustable bit on the back of hi-back should be used to adjust the angle at which the hi-back sits in relation to the back of your boot, ie, the lower you set it, the further forward the hi-back tilts....the part of the binding that is overlapping your heel hoop in your picture should actually be butted against the top of it.....have a look at the bingings on boardwise.com and you can see this on some of the pictures....

I'm sure someone else will be able to give you a more detailed explaination or tell you that i'm talking rubbish!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Not talking rubbish, that bit is made to adjust the "forward lean" - the angle of the highback in relation to the base. The highback should be allowed to fold down. You shouldn't even be able to get the forward lean thing over the heel cup - must've taken some forcing I'm guessing?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Here's an image of how it should look, with the forward lean thing just resting on top of the heel cup:
