Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Esdel, sorry to hear that. I was out with a boarder (family member, Australian based) this morning who mentioned that a friend of his in Melbourne is off to Slovenia next week. Might mention the lack of snow, though she has a lot of Austrian friends she is tying up with there so probably knows already.

Esdel, look at Innerkrems or Bad Kleinkirchheim, both just over an hour away. Some mates of mine raced in Innerkrems a few days ago and said it was great. This link may be helpful too, ski resorts in Corinthia

Not far from Nassfeld - snow was superb a week ago above 1100m and looks like it's dumping again now.

The women's world cup from Kranjska Gora looked very snowy on Eurosport at the weekend Smile .

Three weeks on Thursday until we fly to Ljubljana for a long weekend. We land mid-morning so the plan is to try Krvavec on arrival day lynseyf. Will play it by ear after that - we are staying in Bled but will have a hire car.

Haven't been to Slovenia so really looking forward to skiing somewhere new.

Mountain addict - you are pretty close to Vogel too which is very pretty and good skiing, especially if they get the run to the bottom of the gondola open. If the weather closes in kranska Gora is good as it's quite low so tends to escape the fog etc. it also has the Podkoren World Cup black run which is a bit of a beast. krvavec is biggest resort in terms of KMs of skiing and so close to airport so good choice for day 1. It's also pretty high altitude like Vogel. That should keep you busy for a long weekend.

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

Cheers for the tips t4tomo - can't wait Very Happy. Have also heard that Ljubljana is worth a look. Loathe to miss any skiing, as ever - so may possibly pop there for a night out after skiing at Krvavec.

Anybody able to report/update us on current Slovenia conditions? Four days until we set off - really looking forward to skiing somewhere new Smile.

Going by the webcams and the weather forecast, it's looking quite promising at this stage.

Esdel Three nights' digs booked in Bled. We land at Ljubljana mid morning on Friday so plan is to ski Krvavec that day. Can't believe there's a proper ski area about 5 miles from an international airport Very Happy - though maybe Innsbruck offers something similar?

After that - and depending on snow and weather - we thought we'd try Vogel and/or Kranjska Gora on Sat and Sun. We then fly home on Mon morning.
