Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

andy,

"..dare you to say that to shaf in boots! I don't think she was particularly impressed Wink .."

Yes, I saw a post from her last year mentioning moguls and thought "what moguls?" (but then I have only skied it twice - beating the gondola down ....!)

The Flying Gooseberry, yup! usually deserted, possibly because of the 5min free bus from Canazei to Alba.

While it is usually deserted, I have seen a real scrum to get the bus back - don't know if there had been some interruption to bus service and so there were two busloads of people trying to get on the one bus, or what. Anyway. we managed to get onboard, but not by adopting normal Brit queue techniques. Shocked

When in Rome... Wink

Have managed to get a seat most times, both ways.

The bus from Alpe di Siusi back to the Sella Ronda was interesting, not only in terms of the drive thru the forest, but the complete carnage at loading. Honestly have no idea how we all got on.

Have now done SR orange and today the trip over to Cinque Torres and Rifugio Averau was some of the best piste skiing ever- coming down from Cinqe Torres was superb on low and soft bumps - very flattering to my skiing standard! Mind we did end up on some of the last lifts back-which meant beautiful sunsets through wispy clouds making the tops look as if they were on fire
Very Happy Very Happy Little Angel

albob, - yes the food at Rifugio Averau is some of the tastiest you will encounter as well as being slightly different from anywhere else I've eaten - I had a very simple tomato gnocchi with peccorino shavings - perfect mix of flavours. Lots of Italians and regulars in there............ Cool
