Dear all, we were last in Obertauern 4 years ago. Having done the usual search, there is very little recent info on the resort? Would appreciate any recommendations as to good places to eat in the resort. Mountain restaurants don't seem to have changed much according to the piste map. but I have heard of at least a couple of relatively high end restaurants opening. Any information would be appreciated.

Its Obertauern, make sure that you have a decent pair of Cat 1 low light goggles

So we're not in for a week of glorious sunshine then?! Ah well!

It's one of those resorts not renowed for glorious sunshine, apparently, although on my only trip there (November opening weekend), it was indeed sunny.
have no idea which restaurants we used, but if anyone knows why they have hairdryers in the gents' I'd like to know!
edit: but since the Dolomites (which are renowned for endless sunshine), are getting dumped on big time (and then some), maybe Obertauern, and Austria in general, are getting all the Sun instead?
