Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

London Victoria to Bride les Bains ala Igluski

Has anyone here done the weekend deals from igluski? I've spent a week in Brides before and it is dead cheap compared to Meribel 20 mins up the gondola.

Check out the link: http://www.igluski.com/coach_ski_breaks.cfm (p.s. how do you insert link into 'click here'?)

Am growing very impatient: 21 days to go!!! Toofy Grin

saxabar, They appear to be the trips as organised by ski weekends.com.
Lastminute.com were also advertising their trips too.

I have done two long weekends to Brides with ski weekends to hote le Verseau, is there anything you need to know?

To change the address to a link then add the bits in blue either side of the web address, for example the one above is written like this: ski weekends.com

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Ray Zorro, I was just wondering how practical it is to take the weekend away. On Fridays I finish at 3 so can make it down to Victoria easily for 5. It all seems uncannily too easy as I don't have to go in on Mondays (I work a lot from 'home'). At £150 to £180 + lift pass these seem like managable dream weekends.

The idea of finishing at three, being on the coach for five, perhaps even reviewing some work stuff for a few hours, enjoying a slippery nipple of whiskey, watching films, sleeping after a long week and waking up to go to riding all seems a bit Narniaesque. Is it fantasy or am I missing something? snowHead

saxabar, It is as easy as that. Try it, you've nothing to lose. You have to add on the cost of equipment hire and lift pass and meals of course, but it still isn't too bad.

Depending on traffic, you could arrive anytime between 8:30 and 11:00 on the Friday. You ski until 4:00 on the Sunday, so you do get a fair amount of skiing in (nearly 3 days). It is definitely worth the upgrade for legroom (have done both and wouldn't do it without again (and I am not tall - 5' 10" ish)). Take a blanket and a pillow and a walkman (we took a DVD player) in case you can't sleep. I managed to sleep enough each way both times, particularly more so with the additional leg room. There's others here that have done it. Kamikaze was on the same coach as me one time, but I didn't realise that till we got back.

Do a search on *skiweekends* and you may find a thread or two with more comments.

I will join Ray Zorro, in the coach trip fan club though you will find plenty of people here who hated it. If I lived in the SE I would be a regular. I would also recomend ear plugs in case your fellow travellers aren't so keen on catching up with sleep as you are.
