Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Trip planning

3 friends and myself are planning a nice ski trip in 2015. Looking for places with a lot of exploring to be done (off piste kind), good snow, high and lots of runs (blacks not being mougle fields if poss.).

Just wondering if any of you have any good places to go that are REASONABLY priced. Hoping to do it for £1.3K per person (own skis and boots and poles).

Not too bothered about time in season but would like either Christmas time or February. Also when is best to book holidays likes this/ when are deals on (not last minute).

Not after a package, just when to book flights, suggestions where to go and what airline. Thanks.

Thanks in advance.

High = Tignes.

Get a package. http://www.alpineanswers.co.uk/ski-chalet-deals#search=1 £600 for flights, transfers, accommodation and half board including wine during February.

£200 for your lift pass.

Leaves you £500 in your budget for lunches and beer.

Any other package sites? Not much scope for tignes.

Crystal, Inghams, Neilson, Snowcoach, Skiweekends, Direct ski, Igluski (clearing house for others), Skiworld, Direct Ski.......

If going Feb avoid France as most of the month is half term for various areas of the country. (£1.3k each should be plenty).

If you go DIY can you drive? If not go for somewhere close to an airport as private transfer costs can be quite hefty for longer transfers.

One bad crystal holiday doesn't make them all bad. We've probably done 4 or 5 and all been fine.

We're not particularly fussy though so judge a holiday mostly on the skiing.

Pi, sign up for a bash. Spend the rest of the money on booze. On the PSB and EoSB there are often offpiste guides, private lessons, and other stuff that you don't often get on a package deal.

Pi, You're young. Look at the packages with UCPA, through Action Outdoors. You can get whole weeks of all-inclusive, full board, including ski pass, kit and lessons (up to an extremely high standard, including off piste guiding and touring) for not very much money at all, with an additional discount if you're a student. Think (depending on timing and location) around £700.
