Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

St Cristina Val Gardena Ski School Help!

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We’ve just booked Val Gardena, Santa Cristina in February.

Last time out I frightened the life out of my wife, consequently she would now like some lessons.

She has skied many times and is a good skier but her confidence has been totally shredded (by me 'Embarassed' ) so she wants to start with group lessons again build her confidence and take things slowly….

So. We plan to abandon her in ski school in the morning while we go wild then meet her for lunch after her lesson has finished. Then ski as a group in the afternoon…. at a gentler pace! 'Very Happy'

We are staying at the Kristiania Hotel in St Cristina.

Could anyone help with the best ski school to use (location wise)? The rest of the group (and me) want to get up the mountain, ski some, then conveniently catch up with her.

Thanks!

SM

shockingmoment, my mate's kids went into ski school at st Christina. They all lined up on the hill as usual to decide which group they should be in. Out of well over 100 kids, they were the only Brits. They split the classes by ability and also linguistically between German and Italian speaking. There was only one class which operated outside of those languages and the kids joined that. All of the other kids in the class were Dutch apart from one from the US. They were of mixed ability. The ski instructor was I think Dutch but spoke good English. The lessons took place out of Monte Pana which was a pain to get back to as it's pretty much out on its own as an area. The kids had a good time and the instruction was good but you might want to think of the Selva ski schools where they are more used to dealing with Brits and which are more central to the Gardena ski areas.
The year before one of my kids went to the 'yellow' Selva school and enjoyed it.
