It took me 2 hours driving from Ballymoney to Belfast yesterday morning (50 miles) and 1.5 hours from Cookstown - Ballymoney yesterday evening (38 miles). That was a really scarey drive. Down to 20mph in places.
Currrently in Ballymena. Visability is less than 100m.

Ahhh... Ballymena, and unable to see long distances, i.e. short-sighted.
Yup, sounds like the mentality of my home town!

Fox,
My new office is in the Ecos Centre in Ballymena. We have a great view of Slemish. (When it's not foggy!!!)
|
|
|
|
|
|
johnboy, I thought I heard the Ecos centre was closing down. (oh, and have they told you about bringing waders and a boat for when the Braid floods?)

Just been informed by one of my farming clients that there has been a large hail shower in Aghadowey. (Incidently Aghadowey is Ireland's largest townland).

I never knew that!

We had a good covering last night, but it has turned to sleet/ rain by morning. Currently blowing a gale. Electricity has been of several times and many trees uprooted.
What's it like south of lough neagh Brian?

Pretty much the same in Coalisland - lights flickering etc
Nice icing sugar dusting this morning, but the rain has washed it all away now
Winds gusty and bloody cold
Was a bit deeper in Omagh this morning (I live in Omagh and work in the island), but I'm sure it will have been washed away by now too.
Keeping myself going by checking on the Madesimo website every now and again to remind myself where I will be in Feb - lovely white-out going on there at the moment

It's not saving lights, it's just so that the peelers (rossers on the mainland) can't see you coming
Snow still on the Sperrins (well Mullaghcairn anyway) this morning and snowing in Cookstown at 8:45
Best of luck Bernard

This is the day when SAD really kicks in. Manky to coin a local phrase.
OH MY GOD. . 11 years looking out of the same window at work, and I have just seen a road sweeper on our Industrial Estate for the first time.
