Poster: A snowHead

Hi all!
I'm in Val Thorens with a big group, Jan 25th to Feb 1st, staying at the Hotel Tango.
I could wangle the following week off as well, Feb 1st to Feb 8th, so I'm just putting out feelers if anyone has a space available that week I might be able to help out...😃

Hi,
Not planning to be in Val Thorens but I am planning a trip to Bourg St Maurice arriving at 0700 on 2nd February. I have five days skiing planned so I will use Bourg as a base and ski St Foye , Les Arcs, La Thuile and La Rosiere. You can get buses from Bourg pretty easily and cheaply and it’s an opportunity to get plenty of variety. I have a dorm bed at The Loft hostel in Bourg at a very reasonable 29 Euro per night and my travel costs are £160. If I had a second person I may be able to secure non hostel accommodation but The Loft is a very nice hostel eg not horrible!
I am late thirties, pretty good skier not nuts but I don't hesitate to go down just about anything, I try to get a few trips in each year and am skiing solo as my usual ski buddies cannot make it and I am being compelled to take some annual leave. Planning to do a bit of touring as I am skiing solo but some company would be great too so if you don't fancy heading back too soon then let me know.

Hi Mili,
I literally just got my leave request agreed so I haven't firmed up my plans yet. I am going to book my trains first as I don't want to find myself missing a key travel component after I have everything else sorted. I think Bourg St Maurice is my best bet for ease of travel and if I am going solo it offers great access to local areas. Open to suggestions but I do want to get my trip sorted ASAP before I lose the trains, etc.
My main restriction is that I need to be in Paris on the afternoon on Friday 7th Feb. I am meeting friends for the weekend and attending a sporting event.

Rob,
Thanks for the offer! If I can't find anything in Val Thorens then I think I'll play it safe and go back home with the others- I've put my leave request in so I can go on the EOSB, also in Val Thorens....

Hi Rob
Action Outdoors have a place in Val Thorens. I think they have spaces. Its very cheap and all inclusive except travel. I always go by myself and its easy to meet people from day one.Just a thought. Been to Chamonix, Tignes and Val D'isere with them and always loved it but not to Val Thorens. Its not luxury, always meet cool people. I got a code from someone too DL2014 which just worked for me - i just used this this year. Only £10 off but it all helps, Doesnt sound much but its so cheap anyway. Beer money !
