Poster: A snowHead
|
Dear SnowHeads,
I'm after a snowbuddy/buddies for an end of season trip somewhere snowsure in the last couple of weeks of March. I'm open to suggestions on where, but my initial suggestion is Cervinia.
Would anyone be at all interested???? I'm a 33 year old decent intermediate if that makes any difference. Get in touch if you fancy it!!!

h595hrf, welcome to snowHeads where the end of season isn't until the end of April !! We'll be going on the EoSB in Val Thorens on the 19th. Plenty of buddies to keep you company there.

Thank you for the replys. These trips both look interesting, what sort of standard do you need to be for them? and where can i find some more EoSB details?
Happy sliding

Our group trip has spaces in a catered chalet 12-19th April, near Les Menuires. Mixture of ages and ability going

Flights and transfers are not included, although there will be a bus transfer arranged from Geneva airport. You need to sort your own flights to Geneva to coincide with the transfer bus (usually around 4pm departure). Or you can drive, or fly elsewhere and use other means to get to Val Thorens.

I went on my first 'bash' last year and it was the EoSB. It was good. I would go again. Everyone very friendly. Now that I have done one bash, I would take a bit of extra cash next time, or increase my budget. This is not absolutely necessary, but there were a number of 'events' that sort of happened and which I would like to take part in next time, but as I was not aware of them in advance I had not budgeted for them and was unable to take part. For example, an evening meal out on the piste followed by a moonlight ski back down and a set meal in the Michelin starred restaurant at a realistic price.
For the basic cost, go to the thread for the EoSB. People tended to club together for the cost of food - I was in a self catering apartment with half a dozen others and we sort of took it in turns to cook. Travel is extra. Most people seemed to fly and then coach to resort. I drove and picked up another Snowhead on the way, so fuel was shared
