Hi again, just booked Verbier in December! Any tips on transfers from Geneva airport would be greatly appreciated. Bus, coach, hire car and train considered. Low price preferred! Thanks in advance.

Hi, anyone had experience with Alpybus? We're considering using them along with a couple of companies we have used before from Geneva airport.
Further, does anyone know their discount code!?

Yep we had a positive experience also. Good price and straight out onto the bus 5 minutes after meeting the rep.

My daughter had to use them in an emergency to get to Geneva Airport and had just had her wallet pinched, they were so helpful and let me pay over the phone etc.

Train- easy peasy! Train from GVA airport to Martigny and then change and go to Le Chable where you can actually take the bubble up to resort as long as you arrive before 7.30pm. Cost-check Swiss railways-the sbb website. It looks less than the Swiss transfer ticket which is around £90 per head at the moment. Runs every half hour and takes 2.5 hours. Driving takes less time, about 1 hr 30. Either way you get lovely views of Lake Geneva if you do it in daylight. Taking the train in Swizerland is very civilised and restful I think.

.....and if you arrive in Le Châble after 1930 there are still buses.

Alpybus for me - door to door and only 60CHF (£59) each way. Pretty much like getting a cab

Perty - great info. Gonna take it easy out, train to Martigny, then Le Chable and bubble it up - nice! We're staying near the Medran lift. Early start on the way back and timing more critical - reckon the bus is the best bet.

VoodooBob, The bubble's not included in your train ticket. If you arrive at Le Châble after 3:30, buy your lift ticket starting tomorrow and it will be valid for the remainder of today.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

If you've big bags/luggage and you're taking the bubble up, just grab one of the lift guys and they'll keep you aside while they sort out a separate luggage bubble for you. You then hop in a bubble ahead of it and can retrieve it at the top.

We are travelling to Verbier with Alpybus from Geneva on Saturday 18th Jan (4 of us). I have been looking around for a discount code and I have seen a few code titled chamsnowheads etc to get 10% off...
Is there anything like that for Alpybus??
Last question...Does anybody know anywhere where a can rent a avalanche transceiver for a week when i get to resort?
