Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Halti jackets in tk maxx?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Was in the local tk maxx this morning and they had a couple of really nice halti jackets in.
But as much as I tried, extra small is abit too snug!

Just wondering if anyone knows if any stores that have any halti stuff in a medium maybe?

Missus picked one up last weekend, they're great jackets and an absolute total steal at the prices TK Maxx have them at. Sadly only XS in our branch too.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The problem with TK Maxx is that many of their 'bargains' are ridiculously small or ridiculously large for the vast majority of the population. Ideal destination if Eric Pickles or Warwick Davis ever take up Skiing.

I think it's actually that they only ever have a small amount of stock of a given designer/expensive item. So the more common sizes go first, and the less common hang around for a bit.

aj_ski, Tillymax and a whole host of retailers over here sell off last season's gear remaindered from primarry retailers so it's always rare for there to be lots of the more common sizes.

There's some dainese black saloppettes in the altrincham one for £60 in black which are very good quality , the green halti in a medium is still there and there's a spyder long sleeve t shirt for £140 Shock

Oh and loads of gloves and a decent selection of women's stuff but not much in the men's dept.

Liverpool (Speke) store had half a rail of ski jackets. There was a seriously yellow Halti jacket in XS. I was tempted by a Dainese full zip light jacket for £20. Oh and they had a selection of Dakine, Gordini and Reusch ski gloves

I've had a TK Maxx Halti coat for about the last 5 years, but I'm retiring it this year. Mine was a salesman's sample, and has a label saying it might not quite work as advertised. I found the materials to all be top class, but the fixtures to be a bit crap. Quite a few buttons fell off and needed pliers to clamp them back on, that kind of thing. Seriously high quality tech materials throughout though. Have skied that jacket below -30C and felt fine in it.

Mind you, it did allow me to completely ruin some bloke's holiday in Zermatt once, so that made it worth the 70 quid asking price.
