Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

New Years week accommodation required!

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all,

We've rather belatedly decided we want to go skiing for the New Years week this year (28 December 2013 to 4 January 2014) but are sturggling to find any suitable accommodation.

We're two couples, so looking for two bedrooms in either a large apartment or chalet (will consider sharing Chalet with others).

We're not too fussy on area - just want to be as snow sure as possible and not a million miles from the lifts (ski bus to lifts ok) - Have been considering Tignes, Morzine, Avoriaz, Chatel, La Plagne - we're really not that fussy!

If anyone has any availability, or knows of any availability please get in touch or point us in the right direction.

Any help really gratefully received.

Cheers,

Chris

Sorry, should also have said, our budget is around €400 per person self catered (going up to say €650 per person for catered chalet)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks Sarah, look forward to receiving the PM!

'Under a new name' - we had previously looked at Italy but discounted it on the basis of a lack of good resorts for beginners ( of which there'll be 2 in our group)

chopkins13, now I'm perplexed. You mean, all the Italians went to France, Switzerland and Austria to learn?

TBH, if you have absolutely day 1 beginners, their requirements are pretty limited for the first few days.

Italy doesn't (for some reason) seem to suffer so badly from demand problems around NY the way France does. Maybe that's because all the Italian beginners are taking up beds in France?

However, it doesn't have nearly as much chalet style accommodation. You'd be looking at hotels most likely.
