Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi guys, we are a research team from Loughborough University in the UK. If you could take 2 minutes to fill out our short survey that would be awesome!

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Probably should post this in one area of the forum, rather than creating multiple threads rolling eyes

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I work in a resort where skis often go missing and boards too. Most of the time this is because people are drunk and take the wrong stuff at apres. but there are thieves too.

Can I suggest to everyone lock your stuff at apres and beyond and for me the best way to do it is one of those coil bicycle locks that cost less than a tenner everywhere. They have a thick cable and are not easily broken. They fit in a pocket. Those piddly little board locks with the 1mm cable and plastic case that cost 20 euros or so are pretty useless as any intending thief can cut this with some pocket size pliers, the case is even known to shatter given a hefty pull.

That and remember where your stuff is when your drunken.

However if you guys can invent a gps tracker embedded in the ski or board during manufacturing you could be on to something ! (especially if it gives directions home)

+1

I've got one of those and can easily pull the cable out with my hands, but at least it should keep the insurance company happy.
